Taste Ski amadé

Back to Austria’s Ski amadé

Serving up delicious, high-quality dishes with a focus on regional products in the fresh mountain air at the 100 or so excellent ski huts of Ski amadé is a special focus. Ski amadé is so popular with foodies because of the high-quality products that are used. The chefs place great emphasis on using local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. The ski resorts of Ski amadé pride themselves on spoiling their guests with high-quality culinary experiences. The combination of local, seasonal and sustainable products with creative cooking skills creates many memorable moments.

You can enjoy everything from bacon sandwiches to trout fillet or roast beef. The region organises an annual Ski and Wine Enjoyment Week and a Craft Beer Festival to heighten the experience and is also home to the Highest Farmers’ Market in the Alps. But you can also take to the 13 ‘Enjoyment Ski Routes’.

This winter’s Ski amadé Ski and Wine Enjoyment Week takes place from the 9th to the 16th of March 2024 when 27 of the huts have special ski and wine gourmet status meaning they each have a particularly extensive selection of Austrian wines, serve regional dishes made with local produce and their special service culture.

The “Highest Farmer’s Market in the Alps” has been an integral part of the Ski and Wine Enjoyment Week for years with local farmers and producers presenting their delicacies, from cheese to schnapps, jams and teas at more than 20 stalls, the highest to be found on the Kreuzkogel in Sportgastein at 2,700 metres above sea level, which is also the highest point in Ski amadé.
