Team GB’s very own Professional Slopestyle Snowboarder Aimee Fuller is to take part in an event on May 2nd promoting female participation in sport.
Aimee will be at The Snow Centre (TSC) in Hemel Hempstead for the event that is being promoted as part of Sport England’s THIS GIRL CAN (#ThisGirlCan) campaign, which aims to inspire women to do more sport, regardless of body image concerns.
The star, who is also The Snow Centre’s ‘Pro Snowboarder’ is aiming to help get across the message top women to wiggle, jiggle, move and prove that judgement is a barrier that can be overcome and there’s no better place to do so than on a snowboard at The Snow Centre (TSC).
Aimee will be working with young snowboarders during TSC’s Ignite Snowboard Session from 8am – 10am, inspiring them to progress and try new moves on their snowboards. Boys as well as girls aged 7-16 years with competent level 6 snowboard skills or above can book in to join the coaching session priced at £39.
Then from 10.30am -12pm, if already a competent skier or snowboarder, anyone can take the chance to ride with Aimee on TSC’s Main Slope. She will be offering hints and tips on the slope. An adult 1 Hour Lift Pass is £36 and a Junior 1 Hour Lift Pass £29 with a 10% saving when pre-booking.
