The Swiss resort of Adelboden will be running its ski lifts from 7am for the rest of the season.
The new early-opening of the ski area begins on 5th April and the ski lifts at Silleren-Hahnenmoos-Metsch/Lenk will remain in service until Easter Monday (21 April 2014).
If 7am isn’t early enough, lifts open from 6.30am every Saturday and Sunday on the Engstligenalp, but you must reserve a spot in advance if you want to use them (call +41 (0)33 673 32 70). On the Engstligenalp the slopes should remain open until 4th May.
The resort has special packages on offer and is also organising very early morning buses from Swiss cities for anyone wanting to make an early start on the spring snow.
A 5.45am from the capital Berne costs SFR 66 for a day return including ski pass for adults, children pay SFR 39.
