Ski resorts in the Pyrenees have reported up to 60cm (two feet) of snow has fallen in the past 48 hours.
The French side of the Pyrenees seems to be doing particularly well, with Cauterets (pictured above and below) receiving 20cm in the 24 hours to Tuesday morning and a further 40cm in the past 24 hours. The snowfall is expected to continue now through the week. La Mongie/Bareges also reports 40cm in the last 24 hours, Peyragudes 30cm (a foot)
There has been snow in Andorra and the Spanish Pyrenees too, if not quite so much according to early reports. However Formigal in Spain said it had had 30cm of snow yesterday.
