One of the most expensive ever ski properties has gone at sale at Aspen, Colorado with a $50m price tag.
Built in 2006 and never previously offered for sale the seven-bedroom Owl Mountain Ranch has over 60 acres of grounds adjacent to Buttermilk ski area, one of the four sectors of the Aspen Snowmass ski resort. These include a private ski run down to the main building.
Besides the main house buildings (Which are described by the estate agents as “multi-turreted”, property included in the sale include a “large metal barn structure” (150 X 48 feet) that was originally built for the use of the Aspen Ski Company.
This now includes a large heated vehicle maintenance area, a 500 square foot gym and a 900 square foot artist studio.
