The current ski season may not be quite over yet, indeed April is proving to be a snowier month than December was at many resorts, but tour operators are already trying to tempt us with ski holiday deals for next winter 2016-17. It’s only about eight months until the first charter flights take off!
Tour operators are also keen to tell us that the era of the late booking deal is dead and that you get the best prices by booking early – as well as securing the dates, accommodation and price you’d like, particularly important if you’re looking for a holiday in a busy period like February Half term or the New Year holidays.
There always seems to be a new deal available, but some are already coming to the end of their valid period – expiring at the end of April, May or June.
Here are some that may grab your attention:

The UK’s largest ski holiday operator, Crystal, has a whole swathe of early booking offers ending at various times.
Among the most imminently ending is a deal offering £100 off full day Crystal child care. The offer is valid for Pepi Penguin and Whizz Kids clubs for children between the ages of 6 months to 11 years in selected accommodation and dates in Alpe d’Huez, La Plagne, Tignes (France), Niederau (Austria), Claviere (Italy) and you must book before 27 April 2016.
In addition Crystal is offering 2 for 1 lift passes – saving up to £598 (the full price of a 13 day lift pass in Tremblant ) for holidays to Fernie, Jasper, Panorama or Tremblant when you book by 30 April 2016.
£200 off per couple and BOGOF Lift Passes – book by 30 April 2016
Skiworld have a swathe of early booking offers for 2016-17 including the chance to save up to £200 per couple or take advantage of their buy one get one free lift pass offers on holidays to many destinations,. Including La Plagne and Les Arcs, during January.
9 Night Holiday for the Same as a Week, Plus £200 off Per Couple – Book by 31 May 2016
New Year is always a time that people plan way in advance and to encourage skiers to book now, both Ski Total and Esprit Ski have released deals to save hundreds of pounds over the New Year, where a 9 night holiday costs the same as 7 plus there’s £200 off per couple as well as other savings.
With Esprit Ski families receive £200 off per couple and receive two extra nights free, worth up to £542, plus a further £100 per child off their child care costs. All in all a saving of up to £942 per family of four. Holidays depart the UK on Friday 30th December return to the UK is on Sunday 8 January.
Ski Total has a similar deal and offer as an example a stay in their Chalet Charon in St Anton for £1,249pp (was £1,509pp), based on two adults sharing and includes return flights from Gatwick to Innsbruck, transfers, and nine nights chalet catered accommodation including buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and a 4 course evening meal with complimentary wine.

Inghams have a long list of hotels, studios and apartments offering money saving deals per person or per room at ski resorts across the world – you just need to book before 30th June, although discounts are also subject to availability so the sooner the better if you see a property and dates you like.

All customers booking in Neilson’s Mountain Collection portfolio of hotels and catered chalets across Europe by 1st August can take advantage of half price lift passes saving up to £112 per person. There’s no restrictions, you can choose any date, any lift pass and any passenger. Guests booking early can also save up to 50% on Neilson-run children’s clubs.
Group bookings made by 1st August, for seven adults or more can take advantage of up to 20% off the total cost. In addition any group booking which fills a Mountain Collection chalet will be offered a discount of up to £150 per person.
