Canada’s Panorama ski area in British Columbia has added an additional 6.6 hectares of expert double black diamond backcountry-style terrain to its in terrain tally, bringing the infamous Taynton Bowl territory in-bounds.
The ski area now includes 1,152 hectares of patrolled terrain and boasts 125 trails, the Taynton Bowl, the Extreme Dream Zone, and two terrain parks.
An investment of $120,000 (around £96,000) this season improves Panorama’s off-piste offering with new glading on both the front and backside of the mountain, which further opens up Panorama’s massive hectarage to provide new experiences for guests.
“It’s an exciting time at Panorama,” said Steve Paccagnan, Panorama’s Director and CEO. “Serious investment has gone into improving on-mountain and entertainment experiences for guests.”
Panorama is located in the Purcell Range, west of the Rocky Mountain Trench, on the Powder Highway and a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Calgary International Airport. It boasts one of the five biggest lift-served verticals in North America.
