Ischgl Creates 2km Zip Wire Ride

Ischgl has announced it will be unveiling a remarkable new 2km (one-and-a-quarter-mile) long zip wire this winter.

The new ‘Ski Fly’ at the Austrian Tirolean resort, built at a cost of 2 million Euros, will have parallel wires running from the Silvrettabahn mid-station to the roof terrace of  the two-year-old Pardatschgratbahn valley station.

The parallel wires mean that two people can ‘fly’ together into the valley, whizzing underneath the Kitzloch suspension bridge and the cables of the Fimbabahn lift.

You will need to buy a special ticket to use the SkyFly, which will not be included in the lift pass.

Each ride (Or “flight” as Ischgl prefer to call the experience)  will cost €35 (about £30) for adults and €21 (about £17) for children.

SkyFly will be open in both winter and summer seasons.
