From today, Tuesday March 29th to April 3rd 2016 Val d’Isère will again host its annual Golf On Snow tournament.
With the golf taking place in the local Manchet, the Val d’Isère winter Golf tournament attracts both professionals and dedicated amateurs.
This year the six day championships kick off with an inaugural Britain v France tournament on Tuesday, March 29th and Wednesday, March 30th.
The fact that British visitors form the major part of Val d’Isère’s winter clientele makes them especially welcome for this international skiing and golfing spectacle, according to the organisers. The entry fee: 290€ per person.
The day includes a ski race at 9.30am and lunch at the Folie Douce.
Then it’s the 4th Edition of the BMW Winter Golf Cup begins on Thursday, March 31st with winter street golf over an imaginatively constructed course of seven holes along the front de neige and in Val Village.
Afterwards, the 35 amateur pairs will battle it out over two rounds of nine holes in the Manchet Valley.
The BMW Winter Golf Cup ends with a relaxed brunch on Sunday, April 3rd. On that day anyone – beginner or established player – can try out the course by paying an entry fee of 50€ per person.
